High Desert Art Fair 2027 invites galleries, dealers, and publishers to apply for the upcoming edition of the fair taking place March 12–14, 2027 in California’s High Desert.
Created as an alternative to the traditional convention center art fair model, the High Desert Art Fair brings together contemporary art, publishing, music, hospitality, and cultural programming across an immersive weekend experience shaped by the landscape and creative communities of the desert. The fair has become a gathering point for collectors, artists, curators, designers, publishers, and institutions from across Southern California and beyond.
The 2026 edition welcomed more than 4,000 visitors over two days and received coverage from publications including the LA Times, ARTnews, The Observer, The Art Newspaper, Condé Nast Traveler, and many others. The fair has also developed programming and relationships alongside organizations including Desert X, High Desert Test Sites, Palm Springs Art Museum, Noah Purifoy, and others throughout the region.
The 2027 edition will include a Friday VIP Preview Day, opening party at Red Dog Saloon, Saturday evening concert, talks and panel discussions, collector tours, artist studio visits, book signings, installations, workshops, and hospitality programming throughout the weekend.
For 2027, the fair is also introducing a dedicated Publisher Section focused on art books, independent publishers, magazines, and printed projects.
Applications are reviewed with an emphasis on quality, curatorial vision, and how exhibitors contribute to the broader experience of the High Desert Art Fair. Space is limited and selections will be made following a curatorial review period after applications close on September 1, 2026.
